There’s nothing more fun and exciting than taking advantage of summer’s perfect weather and attending an outdoor concert or music festival. We all know summer is full of opportunities to do so! Whether it’s Lollapalooza, Country Thunder, Electric Daisy Carnival, or just a local outdoor concert, the options are endless! But deciding what you’re going to wear to these concerts can be kind of overwhelming at times. Here are some tips and tricks for some of summer’s most popular music festivals!
Country Thunder: For all you country lovers out there, Country Thunder is like heaven on earth. With 4 full days of nothing but live country music, this festival is the perfect time to whip out your cutest pair of cowboy boots while singing along to all of your favorite songs. All things plaid, denim and red, white and blue are great ideas for this festival. Keep in mind that it’s going to be hot, so high-waisted shorts are a must! Pair them with a cute crop top like this America-themed one from Forever 21, cowboy boots and cowboy hat and you’ve got yourself the perfect outfit!
Electric Daisy Carnival: At this electronic dance music festival, anything goes as far as clothing is concerned. Forget the standard rules of fashion and let your creativity fly. This isn’t the type of music festival that people dress modestly for. If you plan on attending, take this opportunity to wear something you normally wouldn’t! Commonly, people wear things in crazy bright, neon colors. Things like tutus are common too. Many people take the “daisy” part literally and incorporate the flower into their outfits. This headband from Urban Outfitters is a cute way to do so!
Lollapalooza: This music festival is three days of lots of different kinds of music. That being said, there’s going to be a lot of different people there with different styles. So unlike festivals like Country Thunder and EDC, there’s going to be a lot more variety in what you can wear and what you see other people wearing, so stay true to your own personal style. Cut-off jean shorts, cotton t-shirt and colorful Converse would probably be my personal go-to outfit, but some other good ideas are a flowy maxi skirt with a crop top or a cute romper in a fun print like this one.
So don’t let the stress of deciding what to wear to the next concert bring you down! Just keep these tips in mind and you’ll look great! Your biggest concern will be whether or not your favorite artist is going to play your favorite song, not whether you look okay.
