When I first saw a photo of a tie-dye cupcake tweeted by She’s the First, I fell in love. As an avid fan of baked goods and social good I knew that the She’s the First Tie-Dye Cupcake Bake-Off would be a perfect fundraiser for Food for Thought.
The She’s the First Tie-Dye Cupcake Bake-Off is a national campaign that encourages students to use cupcakes to fundraise for the sponsorship of girls who cannot afford an education at all. She’s the First is a not-for-profit organization that sponsors girls’ education in the developing world, helping them to be the first in their families to graduate.
Food for Thought will be selling tie-dye cupcakes on November 1-2, 4, 6-7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Campus Center. The cupcakes were generously donated by Purity Ice Cream and will be sold for $2 each.
