Our new weekly blog, Fab Five, contains photographs of the 5 things that make Brooke Markham especially happy each week! Check it out!

A pair of classic black heels.
The LBD’s lesser-acknowledged accompaniment often goes unnoticed, but is just as crucial as the dress itself. Classic black heels can add a whole new element to one’s look, and are versatile in a way that most other shoes are not. I found my perfect pair of black peep-toe pumps- they are classic and simple, with the ability to transfer flawlessly from a more formal event to a night out with friends. They’re one of the staples of my closet that make me happy just knowing that they’re there.

Fire engine red fall leaves.
Having just entered my favorite season of the year, few fall-scenes go unnoticed by my camera. Fire engine red, rust orange, and banana yellow leaves have been amazing to me since I was a little girl. It always strikes me by surprise seeing how bright and vibrant the leaves become in these few months. I love how their inspiration shines through in fall fashion color palettes, and walking past them each day reinforces to me how happy I am to live somewhere with these beautiful seasons.

A hot beverage in less than four minutes.
I am addicted to hot drinks. Coffee, hot chocolates, cider, chai tea… you name it and I drink it. After staying up most mornings until the early hours, there is nothing that makes me happier than waking up knowing that I have a Keurig just waiting to make me the hot drink of my choice.

Sparkle nail polish.
With the bipolar fall weather, I like to have some sort of sparkle in my outfits- something to add a little shimmer and brighten up my look. Urban Outfitters Afterhours andBarstool nail polishes accomplish just that for me. Every time I glimpse down at the glitter, it makes me a little happier.

An eye-catching shirt.
I found this shirt at Urban Outfitters when it caught my eye from a clothing rack. I have a terrible habit of trying on anything and everything that catches my eye, and this flowy tank was no exception. The different colored panels, the bright pop of pink lining, and the shimmery gold panel section were enough to justify a purchase for me. The shirt can be fun and casual during the day with a pair of skinny jeans, or a going-out top when paired with leggings or a tight skirt. Purchasing clothes that can be worn on multiple occasions always makes me happy.
