Confession: I usually don’t really like “alternative” music. It’s just that “indie” flavor. It still sounds like emo to me. Even “happy” songs from this category seem to be melancholy. But I’ll be spending my spring break in Austin, Texas at one of the indie events of the year— South by Southwest. So with that, I’m embracing the style. Not only is it appropriate for my destination, but this music is pretty cool to travel with. In a way, it matches the pace and the spirit of discovery.
