Movies to Watch This Halloween

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

With Hallo-weekend winding down and the actual holiday approaching, you may be looking for a way to keep the spooky spirit going. One of the best ways to keep the feeling going and embrace the end of Hallo-weekend is to watch some movies! Here are five movies to definitely keep the spooky feeling going!

1. Hocus Pocus

This movie is the ultimate classic. I’ve watched it about three times since October rolled around and I plan to watch it at least two more times before the end of October. The Sanderson sister are timeless.

2. Annabelle: The Creation

Let me begin by saying, I am not one for horror movies. My friend was watching it and I thought it would be interesting. This movie is horrifying, but definitely worth it! I highly recommend watching it with the lights on.

3. Ouija

The friend I mentioned above? Yep, they roped me in to this one too. This movie was not as bad as Annabelle, but it was still scary.

4. The Addams Family

Did you read that in a sing-song voice too? Same. I had never watched this movie in full until a few weeks ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was fun and creative and just a feel good movie.

5. Halloweentown

Yet another classic that may pull at your heartstrings a little bit more this year. This is probably my all time favorite Halloween movie and I always look for the chance to watch it!
