If you’re like me, then you love plants. I need to reign in my spending on plants because otherwise my whole house will be filled and my bank account empty. So instead of doing that, I thought I’d share the top plants on my wish list right now.
If you don’t have plants in your home, I would recommend getting some. They are pretty and easy ways to brighten up your living space. They are also something to take care of, which can be good for your mental health. Oftentimes it is easier to take care of something else than it is to take care of yourself. One hack I like to implement when I’m feeling stressed or burnt out, is to make sure I drink a glass of water (and sometimes eat something) when I water my plants, it serves as a little reminder for myself. They also improve your air quality. Having the right plants in your bedroom can even improve your sleep!
- String of Pearls
-
This has been on the top of my wish list for a while now. They are extremely cute and the perfect hanging plant (so the vines have somewhere to go). If you have a hook or high shelf in your house I highly recommend this plant!
- Snake Plant
-
This is a good plant to have in your bedroom, it can filter CO2 into Oxygen at night so it promotes healthy airflow for your sleep. It is also a very cool looking plant that doesn’t do much but grow upwards, so it’s perfect for tight spaces! They can also thrive in low to high levels of light so they’re pretty durable.
- Polka Dot Plant
-
I am in love with this plant! Pink is one of my favorite colors, so of course I would want a pink plant. It is also perfect if you want to have a plant in your bathroom. Polka dot plants need a warm and moist environment, so keeping it where you shower is a good way to keep it happy and flourishing!
- Fishbone Prayer Plant
-
I think this plant looks awesome, the color can vary slightly, but the stripes are always present. It is a fun plant that can act almost as a statement piece. They are a little harder to care for, as their roots are fine and prone to root rot, but as long as you wait for the soil to dry completely in between watering it should be easy!
- Monstera
-
These plants are a quick way to give your home a tropical feel. They come in a couple different varieties, including mini monstera, in case you are low on space. They grow fairly quickly and don’t need too much attention to do so!
One important note: the Monstera is toxic to dogs and cats if ingested, so you might want to skip over this one if you have a furry friend, especially if they like to nibble on plants!
