You throw a McDonald’s cup out of your car window,

Every year, your entire life,

Every year is the same,

Same people,

Same pollution,

Same trash,

Same ways,

Same concern right? What changes then?

Maybe a few laws are added,

Maybe a few fines are distributed,

Maybe a couple of scientific studies were conducted,

What didn’t change?

People’s attitude’s towards saving the Earth, still there,

Pollution in the ocean, still there,

Trash on the side of the road, yep, still there,

Another year goes by that our temperature rises a degree,

Soon we will be engulfed,

If we keep going we will cease to exist,

What will always be here though?

Your McDonald’s cup,

Take care of our Earth, it is the only one we have

 

Alicia is an aspiring doctor. She intends to graduate from IUP in 2022 and attend Medical School directly after to become a medical doctor specializing in pediatrics.
