Taking free online tests and surveys to decipher my personality type is something I enjoy.  After a few months – even though I take screenshots of the results every time – I usually forget what they are (because I don’t look at my screenshots) so learning about my personality type is an ongoing hobby! According to the Myers- Briggs test, which is an interesting, though not entirely scientifically sound analytical tool, that was created after WWII to assist women in deciding what career they’d like to pursue (as if the glass ceiling wasn’t even lower back then, but that’s besides the point), my personality type is INFJ (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging). When you answer the series of questions in this free online test, which can be accessed at:https://www.myersbriggs.org/my-mbti-personality-type/mbti-basics/or on 16.personalities.com (what I recommend), you’ll be assigned an acronym in which each letter represents a different aspect of your personality. The results also include various tid-bits of information, such as how you are in relationships, what careers you’d like, and much more! The best part is, the results are mostly related to your strengths, as opposed to your weaknesses, so you’ll have a report on the good in you to read, keep, and refer back to! If you try it out, I hope you find it informative and fun. Enjoy!

I’m Sarah Miller, a sophomore at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in Speech and Language Pathology. I’m going on my third semester as a Her Campus member. I joined my fall semester of my freshman year because I was in need of a women’s group and figured what better than one dedicated to connection and unity as much as this one! I’ve enjoyed interacting with women all over this country’s campuses. This magazine has kept me in tune with the interests, dilemmas, and goals of my generation— a sense of connection I’ve loved having and will continue to experience for the remainder of my time at IUP. Writing has long been a passion of mine. I see so much value in written words, especially because I’ve learned from every article I’ve read on this website. I hope that by the time I conclude my time at IUP, I will have contributed to the sense of unity and empowerment fostered through our posts to this magazine. I’m thankful to be part of this experience and look forward to striving for my goal through my publications.
