John Carroll’s campus is beautiful all year-round, but there’s something about fall that really makes our campus pop. Trudging to your 8 am class is always a drag, but the fall weather might improve your morning commute. When the leaves change color, you’ll really start to take notice — trust me.
1. The trees. John Carroll is surrounded by trees, and it’s almost impossible to ignore the beautiful orange, yellow and red hues of the leaves as they begin to change color. Just when you thought the John Carroll bust couldn’t get anymore scenic.
2. Fall drinks. That’s right, your favorite coffee locations on campus will finally have their seasonal flavors! Treat yourself to a PSL or Maple Pecan Latte between classes.
3. JCU bookstore. Remember that fuzzy JCU sweater everyone had last year? It’s finally back, along with hoodies, sweatpants and other lounging essentials.
4. Clubs are active again. After a four-month long hiatus, your favorite clubs are finally back in action. Also, don’t be afraid to join new clubs — fall is prime time for recruitment, and not solely for greek life!
5. Friendships rekindle. Maybe you didn’t have a chance to see your roommate and college bffs over the summer, and you couldn’t wait to get back on campus. The start of fall semester brings everyone back together, which may be the sweetest part of kicking off the school year.
