As a graduating senior in college, I’ve pretty much mastered the art of healthy, yet easy, yet delicious food that I can make anywhere. Since I’ve started and been in college, it has been a main focus of mine to make health conscious choices no matter where I go to eat or what I cook at home and one thing I’ve determined from that is: I cannot live without sweets. I just can’t do it. So, I had to find a way around the copious tablespoons of sugar I could and would consume. One of the tricks I picked up is this recipe for chocolate cake in a mug! It is beyond simplistic, really healthy, and tastes a lot better than one might think by looking at the ingredients! Read on to learn how to make one of my all-time favorite desserts!
Ingredients: 1 Banana (very ripe), 1 Egg, 2-3 Tablespoons of Cocoa Powder
1. Mix all of the ingredients in a mug. I suggest putting the banana on the bottom for the best consistency. Mix well.
2. Microwave on High for 1 minute (depending on your microwave, you may need to heat it for a longer period of time or shorter).
3. Add nuts or sprinkles or whipped cream on top and enjoy!
