If you are a college student, then you have definitely heard of Rate My Professor—a site where students can leave comments about professors to give a helping hand to others trying to figure out their schedule. Our staff decided to provide you with a list of our own to let you know whose classes are truly fulfilling and worth it. Here’s what we came up with:
Yvonne Bruce
“She taught my African American Literature class, and she wowed me every day I went. She is incredibly passionate about what she teaches, always comes prepared with great supplementary materials, and is open to new ideas. Most importantly, I came away from every class feeling like I had learned so much. Best of all, and this is what makes her so great, she wasnt just teaching us, but learning along with us.”
Dr. Finucane
“she’s the most helpful teacher and kindest person! A must-have for a professor.”
Dr. Welki
“I’ve actually never had him for a class but he became a friendly face but he’s such a nice guy and is sure to make you laugh whenever he sees you around campus. I met him during orientation last year and he jokingly asked me if I was the star quarterback (I’m very clearly not) and it became a running joke, still to this day.”
Richard Landoll
“Because he doesn’t just teach, he takes time to know his students and make them learn.”
Bob Noll
“Although I’ve never had him as a professor, he’s my academic adviser. Dr. Noll truly cares about my future here at JCU and post graduation!”
Dr. Kristen Ehrhardt
“She brings a liveliness to our class every time. She also knows the topics really well and conveys that when she teaches. She also has a great sense of humor and is able to relate to us as her students.”
Dr. Metres
“He’s a professor who genuinely cares about his subject and his students.”
Dr. La Guardia
“If you care about literature, or it’s something you want to learn more about, he’s your guy. This man has an infinite amount of wisdom, and you will learn more in his class than you ever thought you would in a literature class. His lessons are so enriching, and getting a good grade is no problem as long as genuinely care and put in the effort.”
Dr. Imam
“He’s really upbeat and definitely enjoys teaching. He laughs a bunch in class too. He does demonstrations, which makes the class fun and memorable.”
