Dr. Michael Johnson, President elect of John Carroll University, visited campus on Wednesday to address faculty, staff, and students. Dr. Johnson comes to campus with years of experience at University of Michigan, Cornell University, and Babson College. His education includes backgrounds in economics, psychology, marketing, and behavioral science. Dr Johnson addressed how we are fortunate to have a Jesuit education among a handful of Jesuit universities in the United States, mentioning how this sets us apart from other schools. Through changing times it is important that the needs of incoming students be addressed academically and financially. Programs are growing in their disciplines, as is the need for students. Changes such as these require someone who is able to represent the university in a way that helps us to grow and understand the progress we make, which Dr. Johnson has the challenge to do.
