The Saint Ignatius statue
Iggy has been looking a bit chilly this week with the cold Ohio weather in full effect. This week, John Carroll University celebrated Ignatian Heritage Week—”a series of events designed to celebrate our heritage of being women and men for and with others.”Â
St. Iganatius of Loyola founded the Society of Jesus, creating a group that we all know as the Jesuits. *Fun fact: when the term was first created by those who disagreed with the founders of this group, it was meant to have a negative connotation. Today, “jesuit” is anything but negative.
If it wasn’t for Iggy, none of us would be at JCU. Happy Ignatian Heritage Week!!
