I know everyone’s post-Halloween depression is slowly sinking in. But don’t worry – I got you covered. November in Philadelphia is full of fun events and opening exhibits that are totally worth checking out.
1. Manayunk Cocktail Week (November 7th-13th)
I’m starting off with a 21 and over event, but don’t worry – there will be plenty of cool events to attend even if you’re under 21 later on. However, if you can drink legally, your favorite Manayunk bars and restaurants will be offering tastings, fun cocktails, and happy hours. Definitely something that could be fun to attend, and it’s going on for a full week!

2. Jurassic World: Exhibition at Franklin Institute (Opening on November 25th all the way through April 23rd, 2017)
I actually have never even watched any of the Jurassic Park/Jurassic World movies (shame on me), but this seems like something that is going to be pretty amazing. Opening on November 25th at the Franklin Institute, it’s going to be an interactive exhibition that “gets you closer to dinosaurs than you ever have before”.

3. Apple Festival at Peddler’s Village (November 5th to November 6th)
This seems like every girl’s fall-fantasy dream come true. At this event, there will be hot and crispy apple fritters, apple dumplings, and even caramel apples. You’d better bring your sweet tooth! Not to mention there’s live music all day, a ton of small homemade crafts and art for sale, and an apple pie eating contest. It’s definitely something that’s perfect for a simple fall day where you have nothing to do!

4. Franklin Square Holiday Festival & Electrical Spectacle “Holiday Light Show” (Begins November 10th, ends December 31st)
Who doesn’t love festive lights around the holidays? The show has over 50,000 lights and holiday music blasting throughout. Not to mention the event is located right around a ton of restaurants so it’s perfect to stop at once you’ve gotten a bite to eat!

5. First Person Arts Festival (November 7th-November 19th)
“Life becomes art”. Real life people and renowned artists go around the city and tell their stories through poetry, puppetry, theater, and more! This is something cool and interesting to go to if you’re interested in art and poetry!

6. Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade (November 24th)
Last but not least, I couldn’t finish without mentioning the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade! It’s the oldest parade in the country and a great tradition filled with music, food, and joy! So, if you can make it, head out early with some warm apple cider or coffee and enjoy the festivities!
