Bicyclists on Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at JHU chapter.

Have you ever been walking through campus when suddenly, a bike comes whizzing past you and you suddenly see your life flash before your eyes? If so, you aren’t alone.  Many people I know, and myself included, have experienced the same feeling.

Personally, with our campus being half a mile long and easily walkable in 10-12 minutes, I simply do not see the need to ride bicycles around campus.  If you live a ways away, I do understand biking to campus, but please, for the safety and happiness of those walking on the walking paths, chain your bike up when you arrive to campus!
