Hello there! While fall is general the season of everything pumpkin spice, there’s a lot more fun to be had in the realm of make-up and it’s a great season to try out new trends. Below are my thoughts on some fall beauty trends and new products.
Warm Eye Looks
Tons of new eye-shadow palettes have launched over the past few months and a very popular theme is warm tone eye colors. This includes a lot of oranges and reds and warm toned metallics. While these may seem out-there for some people, oranges can actually be very wearable!
- Naked Heat Palette ($54): This palette has been super popular the last few months and is centered around warm toned oranges.
- Tartlette Toasted Palette ($46): Another warm toned palette, but less orange and more brown tones.
- Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette ($38): This palette was created by a popular beauty blogger in collaboration with Morphe, a more affordable brand. You get lots of wearable warm toned colors as well as a few bold pops of color. I use this everyday!
- NYX Warm Neutrals Ultimate Shadow Palette ($17.99): A more affordable drugstore alternative with lots of warm toned colors, great for everyday looks!!
If you cant decide check out this video from one of my favorite bloggers comparing the Naked palette with the Tarte palette!
Pretty in Purple
Purple has been another popular color in a lot of eye looks this season as well!
- Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette ($65): This item is a definite splurge and probably for people who want to branch out and try more fun looks. Its centered around a lot of warm colors as well as purple tones, including my favorite color ‘Twilight.’
- Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks ($26): These are my absolute favorite formula of lipstick. I find they have a great range of berry and purple tones, with options for everybody.Dark + Nude Lips
Dark + Nude Lips
- Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Lipsticks ($16): Beauty queen Kylie has just launched a range of pretty fall appropriate velvet lipsticks (pink to nude to dark). I love this formula a lot, its less drying than her matte ones + lasts decently long!
- Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer ($18): This is high on my wishlist and has been praised as a great universal lip gloss
Metallic + Glitter
Recently a LOT of metallic products have been on trend. Rihanna’s holiday collection for her new brand, Fenty Beauty, is essentially all metallic and glitter themed, so this is a great place to start if you’re trying to add some glitter to your get up.
- Fenty Beauty Cosmic Gloss Lip Glitter ($19): Some out of this world glam gloss from RiRi and her infinite beauty wisdom.
- Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner ($20): The brand has brought back a cult favorite in great new colors. Makes glitter easy to apply for those who were overwhelmed by loose glitter on Halloween like myself, and found it all over themselves the next morning.
