After another hell week in the books, its time to talk about some dope makeup looks. Spring Break is obviously a time to bring out your inner basic, show off some glam looks, and make your ex regret everything by posting some exotic instas. This week Iâve come up with three general makeup looks (inspired by Instagram examples of course) and some products that could be used to achieve these.
- No-makeup makeup for the beach: If youâre one of those lucky souls layinâ out on a Mexican beach while I attend my grandmotherâs 90th birthday party this type of look will be great for you. Definitely keep it simple and just try to highlight that *natural* beauty with some mascara, a lip product (like a simple gloss) and a highlight to add glow. Here are some products that I love using on my more natural makeup day looks:
- Glossier Haloscope in Quartz (my favorite cream highlight for the most natural glow, just dab it with your fingers)
- Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: Love using this for spot concealing when foundation is not happening
- Benefit Gimme Brow + Roller Lash Mascara: Gives a filled in brow look without taking 15 minutes out of your tanning time. And I always use when I want feathery lashes.
- Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer: Sometimes when I donât wear foundation I use a pore filling primer than still makes my skin look smooth as babyâs bum.
- Peachy Keen: A great trend for spring makeup is definitely peach tones, with lots of glowy accents. There were tons of peach-themed product releases throughout the winter, and they keep on coming. Here are a few products that are just peachy:
- Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection (has a huge range of products, which all smell like actual peaches). The collection includes an eyeshadow palette (my favorite), glossy lip paints, a face palette, and blush.
- Kylie Cosmetics Royal Peach Palette + Liquid Lipstick in Apricot (personally just caved and bought these together at a discounted price)
- Milani Baked Blush (Luminoso): This blush is a perfect peachy tone without being too overwhelming.
- Smokinâ Night Out (for âda clubâ): Not my personal plan for spring break, but for everyone trying to look extra and turn some heads definitely try out some of these products. When I do a smoky-eye look I liked to use dark warm toned colors on the outer corner of my eye with bronze or gold metallic shadows all over the lid. Adding liner and voluminous mascara can complete the look, as well as a nude lipstick.
- Tartlette In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette: Great for traveling and can be used to make a ton of different eye looks.
- Too Faced Born this Way Foundation: Iâve been using this foundation everyday and going out, and it has great coverage to last you through the night.
- Kat Von D Tattoo Liner: Cult favorite eyeliner for that perfect wing.
- Anastasia Liquid Lipstick (So Hollywood): Currently my favorite nude liquid lipstick and lasts all night!
