Pizza makes the world go round, I mean, AMIRITE LADIES!? We are pizza-obsessed and feel a little empty inside when we can’t get our hands on a slice. PIZZA IS EVERYTHING and these 5 gifs are here to prove it!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but pizza might just be better than boys.
Nothing compares to the greasiness of pizza or how bad the cheese burns the roof of your mouth during the first bite. Waiting for it to cool down is just not an option.
The pizza haters: “But we had pizza two nights ago!”
Me: “Yeah and your point is what exactly?”
Spring break is in two weeks and you’ve been dreaming of the perfect bikini bod, but Benny’s is down the street.
Yes! ALL my dreams will come true! They already came true after the invention of pizza!
And now on a more serious note, here are a couple fun facts about the pizza slice as an American food icon for all of us pizza-lovers.
While pizza is not exclusively of Italian origin, it is one of its most iconic foods. The pizza slice has become an American institution for food on-the-go after it first arrived in the states in the 19th century with a wave of Italian immigrants. The first pizzeria opened in 1905 in Manhattan, and ever since, many changes have been made to create the pizza we have come to know (and love) today. Portion sizes increased (thank goodness for that one) and toppings grew to be more creative. Can I get mac and cheese on mine? Or bacon? Thanks.
Oh, and the word “pizza” really translates into “pie” in case you didn’t know!
