If there’s anything that Disney does well, it’s romance. Not only do our favorite Disney flicks give us hope for our own future fairytales, they also have a knack for eliciting ‘aws’ from even the stoniest of hearts. If you happen to find yourself in a bit of a Cupid-hating funk this Valentine’s Day, here’s a list of 8 Disney movies that are sure to make you believe in love again.

1. Beauty and the Beast

One of the most important lessons we learn in life is not to judge a book by it’s cover and if there’s anyone who can vouch for this, it’s Belle. Our favorite bookworm learned a little bit about looking beneath the surface to find something that wasn’t there before. Plus, the Beast turned out to be a studly prince after all. This tale of inner beauty is sure to warm your wintery heart.

2. Up

There is nothing more romantic than childhood friends who grow up to be lifetime lovers. It’s the stuff kindergarten crushes are made of. Watching the story of Carl and Ellie unfold in the first few minutes is sure to lift your heart up into the clouds.

3. Tangled

The only thing we may like more than two people who are destined from the start, is watching a self-proclaimed “bad boy” find his game-changer. Especially when he opens up enough to tell his lady of choice that his real name is Eugene. The lantern scene will most definitely make you reconsider using your frying pan to ward off that brooding boy down the hall.

4. The Princess and the Frog

Tiana and Naveen are definitely on our list of favorite OTPs. Not only do they join forces to find a cure for their froggy legs, they eventually come to love each other despite the unlikely circumstances. Disney’s twist on this ancient classic will have you ready to kiss as many frogs as it takes to find your true love. Plus, who doesn’t want a man who supports his leading lady’s dreams?

5. Pocahontas

Despite this film’s extreme history faux-pas, it is hard to deny the love story that builds between John Smith and Pocahontas. After she shows him how to paint with the colors of the wind, both parties are willing to sacrifice everything to stop the impending battle between their respective sides. The undeniable connection that forms between the two unlikely lovers makes the ending that much harder to bear. While this movie will most likely break your heart, it’ll also make you wanna say, “Wingapo,” to a new love affair.

6. Hercules

Not only does Hercules trade his god-like strength to save the woman he loves, he also gives up his chance at immortality to be with her. Add in the fact that while thousands of Grecian women are pining after him, he’s only got eyes for Meg. If that doesn’t leave your heart ready to go the distance, nothing will.

7. The Little Mermaid

This movie is a true tale of love at first song. From the moment Prince Eric hears Ariel’s voice, he’s hooked — and so are we. From the romantic boat ride in the lagoon to the knock down, drag out battle with Ursula, it’s nearly impossible not to cry happy tears when the pair finally tie the knot. This flick is sure to send your anti-love resolution into a tail-spin.

8. Frozen

As this movie proves, there’s nothing better than a little sisterly love. Especially when it saves an entire kingdom from the next ice age. Add in an adorable snowman, a goofy reindeer and a humble yet handsome man raised by trolls and it’ll give your heart something worth melting for.
