Whether it’s your freshman year, or you’re getting to ready to graduate (or maybe tackle your super-senior year), the school year is coming to a close. With less than a month to go until we’re all back at our first homes for the summer, it’s time to take a look back on how far you’ve come this year.
1. You’re either trying way less or way more.Whether you’ve decided you don’t care what people think or you’ve got someone in particular you’re trying to impress, you’ve developed a stable amount of effort (or lack-thereof).
2. You call home more often.Let’s be honest, the second you get an A, you want to call up your parents to tell them.
3. You’ve crossed at least one thing off your JMU bucket list. Whether it was getting in Burruss fountain, climbing that giant J-Maddy statue, or something in between, you definitely went for it.
4. You may have let go of a few people in your life, but you gained some new ones along the way!Every time a door closes a window opens, right?
5. You don’t even bother making your bed anymore. I mean let’s be real, you’re just going to get back in it after your first class ends. You’re not fooling anyone.
6. If we’re being honest, you picked up a new Netflix addiction or two (or ten). And that’s perfectly okay. You deserved that marathon after those 30 minutes of super-dedicated studying.
7. You stepped out of your comfort zone- and it paid off!Did you join a new group? Rock a new look around campus? Either way, it was something you never thought you would do before, and you should feel proud of yourself.
8. You’ve probably started taking the bus a bit more often. It’s late in the semester, you’re tired, you want to sleep in those extra five minutes. We get it.
9. You didn’t think it was possible, but you love JMU even more than when you got here this past fall.
