What’s your favorite thing about Ski & Snowboard racing team?
I love that the ski team introduced me to my JMU family. I also love getting to leave class and go skiing. It give me something to look forward to and makes it so I’m not just living weekend to weekend, but there’s something exciting and adventurous in my week.
What do you enjoy about being apart of the Climate Justice Coalition?
CJC is one of the things I do that is closest to my heart. I am an active person who always feels the need to do something about what I see as the injustices of our world, and CJC is an outlet for me to do that. Through it, I have met the most inspiring, adventurous and interesting young people who teach me something every day. I am always working towards a bigger goal, which is making sure our planet is safe for future generations, as well as trying to represent minorities and low income groups who are most affected by climate change but have the least political/economic power to do something about it. Essentially, I’m using my privilege of having a voice to do something positive for myself and others, and that makes me feel immensely good.
If you could be any animal what would it be?
