Studying in London is such a blessing – from having the best of universities, friends and basically everything. The experience seems to fly by, and in a city like London, there is more than enough for you to do. Here are few of the places I have visited whilst studying abroad in London and would definitely recommend!
1. See the city from the sky
Location: Sky Gardens This place is an absolute win-win, the views from 160 meters above the city are stunning and its perfect with the cup of creamy hot chocolate from the café at the top.
2. Eat it, drink it, digest it
Location: Camden market Craving to visit a place with all types of street food? This is your go to – from ice creams to waffles to falafels to wraps, basically everything (I personally love the halloumi fries with a drizzle of zaatar and pomegranate sauce and of course the fresh orange juice).
3. Shopping
Location: Regent’s street This street is actually relatively less crowded hence your go-to if you want to shop and not get pushed around by the crowd. Also, the alleys have some great light showcases (thanks to Christmas!)
4. Explore Covent Garden
Location: Covent Garden (duh) Looking for unique restaurants, famous markets and interesting street performances? This is your place. Oh and also, visit Neil’s Yard – a colorful area with tiny shops.
5. Sunrise by River Thames
Location: anywhere along River Thames This may require you to get up a tad bit early, but definitely worth it for the sunrise which will mesmerize you. Also, maybe go for a jog? I personally enjoy jogging as the sun is rising and feeling accomplished before I start my day at university.
London is a beautiful city which has something to offer to everyone. Whether it is visiting a market or spending the afternoon at a café, it has it all – so make the most out of your time here!
