“The overarching aim of the museum is to build a digital platform that will celebrate the contribution made by People of Colour to the UK’s creative industries.”

The Museum also has a wealth of information  and it has everything from paintings to photography to artifacts to poems to videos and even more providing historical insights!

The ‘People of Letters’ 2019 collection in particular, alongside its response gallery is really informative and beneficial. It is all about inspiring authors and activists and their work. Each person also offers their own book recommendations and life lessons through quotes, which is really fun and useful to look through too.

There is so much information on there for educating ourselves on the fantastic and vital contributions that people of colour have made to the UK. It teaches us all the more reason why we should value the BAME community and seek to end racism in the UK and across the world.

With the recent murder of George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter Movement has been revived across the world. Thousands of individuals, organisations and governments are taking it as a responsibility to educate themselves and take action against police brutality and racism in every aspect of life.

This is a fantastic resource for education right here and we should make use of the Museum of Colour.

We are lucky enough to live in a world where information is at our fingertips!

And that educating ourselves on important world issues are only a few clicks away…

Check of the Museum of Colour now for an interactive virtual tour, absolutely Free of charge!
