Standing out in the midst of Kean University crowds of students is Kelli Hayes. Kelli is a freshman majoring in English: Writing Option and expects to graduate in 2017.
This Kean fashion icon really attracts some attention from other students on campus when she rocks her openness in fashion. The freshman is a brave fashionista is not afraid to try out outfits that will definitely draws out people’s attention.
She inspires us all to be open to the many fashion trends that are available and to make our own as well.
“I draw my inspiration for my overall style mostly from gothic and punk fashion,” Kelli said. “I do not like to label myself in any way though because I like to look somewhat fairy or doll-like sometimes.”
For all of you who are also fearless fashionistas, Kelli was willing to share where she got her clothes from and the prices she paid.
Kelli’s camisole was purchased from Love Culture for $3. Her faux-leather skirt was purchased from the same store for $20.
Kelli’s jewelry was purchased from Hot Topic, Love Culture and Thrift stores and none of them were more than $15 a piece.
She purchased her black top from a thrift store in Fair Lawn. The floury-sheer tights were purchased from Pay/Half for $12.
Kelli said “I borrowed the long black socks from my mom’s drawer. Ha ha!” Her black cool combat boots were purchased from T.U.K. online for $70.
