This semester, the D’Angola Gym is presenting special events to students who would like to try new workouts and get active!
Kean University’s intramurals and recreations offer an array of fitness classes at Harwood Arena’s D’Angola Gym and are all located in the Human Performance room D170.
Classes vary from Lunch Time Yoga with Florie to Yoga with Joanna. Yoga with Flore entails basic yoga to relieve stress and tone up your body and soul and is available during lunch time (12-1 p.m.) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Yoga with Joanna practices basic yoga but with later hours on Mondays at 5-6 p.m. and Wednesdays at 2:30-3:30 p.m. The Yoga classes have flexible times giving you options!
Another great class, Fit To Be Kean, promotes healthy living and provides fun exercise programs. It is educational and fun all at the same time!
New to the mix, is Zumba! Zumba has joined the lineup of special events at D’Angola starting September 1st. This class includes high energy fitness exercise matched to lively music. It’s the best way to lose weight, have fun, and improve your dance moves! Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 p.m.
Kellie Moran, a student at Kean, loves the Yoga and Zumba classes.
Kellie said, “I love Zumba so much. It’s so much fun and exciting and it definitely draws a crowd. We started in a small room and now that it has gotten so big we had to move to the gym.”
