Recipes That Will Transform Your Thanksgiving Turkey into a Dessert

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kean chapter.

It’s the middle of November, which means that the fall semester will be over in a month. It also means that a season full of different holidays is about to start as soon as next week. The first holiday to mark the calendar is Thanksgiving.

When I think about Thanksgiving, three thoughts come to mind. The first is giving thanks. After all, that’s what Thanksgiving should be about, correct? The second thought is staying home from school and spending quality time with family and friends. The third is food. Yes, you’ve read correctly…food! Who doesn’t think about food during the holidays?

Since I’m passionate about food (I’m positive I’m not the only one) and since Thanksgiving is approaching fast, I will introduce you to some recipes listed on Taste of Home magazine that will help you transform your turkey into a delicious dessert. You don’t want to miss this!

Tom Turkeys

This recipe is one of the many sweet-tooth turkey recipes that involves candy corn, cookies and chocolate. However, what this recipe includes that others may not include is crisp rice cereal mixed with marshmallows and rolled into a ball, which will be a perfect component for the turkey’s body. Gobble, gobble! Recipe

Thankful Turkey Table Favors

Not only is this recipe super quick to prepare, but it’s also perfect for those who enjoy bite size desserts. Besides, who could resist the milk chocolate kiss that serves as the turkey’s head? Will that be plucked first or the candy corn feathers? Recipe
