If you ever run into Iman Bond, a journalism student in her senior year, you’ll definitely ask yourself “where can I get what she is wearing?!” Iman is in the stage of defining her personal style. Even though she is constantly experimenting with her fashion sense, you can always find something vintage incorporated into her outfits. Leaning towards a very minimal and simple vintage-boho fashion Iman’s style is anything but ordinary.
Iman has always been inspired by the Olsen twin’s simple bohemian style. She also looks to the timeless Audrey Hepburn for vintage inspiration. Sometimes you may like a certain trend, but it might not work for you personally. Iman likes to wear the trends that work best for her.
“I always have and always will love classic vintage looks because that is what I feel looks best on me.” says Iman.
Singer Solange has also inspired her to wear bold colors and patterns. Fashion Blogger Karla Deres , Margaux Hemingway, Francoise Hardy , and Vanessa Hudgens are just some of the people that she looks to for inspiration.
When it comes to buying her clothing, Iman is definitely a thrift store girl. While describing her outfit she mentions that it is one of her favorite outfits ever, as even during this experiment phase it reminders her of her love for simplistic vintage clothing and how well they suit her.
Although not a big fan of H&M, Iman purchased her black skater skirt and hat from the store. Her simple white polka-dotted long sleeve is from The Gap.
“The watch is from Nasty Gal” she says “Which is where I mostly shopped at for my street style phase that I’ve officially grown out of.” She finished up the look with a Lucite clutch from Etsy and lace up wedges from Amazon.
Regarding fashion tips in fashion and finding your personal style Iman says…
“Just know your own body and what looks good on you. Don’t be afraid to experiment. If you see something and you like it, try it!’ And if it doesn’t work, try something you’re comfortable in and make it YOU! I love fashion but at the end of the day I have to be completely comfortable in what I’m wearing.”
