All college students know that homecoming season is the best time of year. It’s the one week where the whole school comes together to show school spirit and just have a great time. Even though homecoming is fun it can take a lot out of you. Here are some ways to have a quick recovery!

Tend to your skin

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with skincare and wearing makeup less but with all these homecoming events this past weekend I’ve been doing a full face of makeup every day. If you’re anything like me, wearing a lot of makeup can make you break out or make your skin look dull so it’s great to repair with a little skincare routine.

Face masks are always a great way to make your skin bounce back fast, my favorite mask to use is the Aztec clay mask. Another favorite of mine is Kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate. It’s made from lavender essential oil and evening primrose oil. Right after washing your face or doing a facemask, massage a few drops into your skin before you go to bed and you’ll wake up totally refreshed. This oil is great for smoothing your skin, hydrating, and restoring the appearance of tired-looking skin.

Make sure you hyrdate

A very important part of recovery is making sure you stay hydrated. Drinking all weekend can take a lot out of you and sometimes you won’t feel the effects until you’re already very dehydrated. Make sure that this week you’re drinking lots of water!!

Boost your immune system

Homecoming is always around the time when the seasons change. It starts to get a little colder and rainy. The sudden change in weather can make you sick. Also, being around a lot of people can cause germs to spread really fast, which can also get you sick. We all know no one likes being sick and a way to reduce you chance of getting a cold is to boost your immune system. You can do this by taking vitamin C, eating more fruits and vegetables, and making sure you’re washing your hands a lot or keep hand sanitizer with you at all time.

I hope everyone had a fun homecoming weekend! Now it’s time to get back to the books and secure these good grades. You can do it!!
