October is finally here and you know what that means? We are less than three months away from the premiere of Marvel’s and Sony Pictures Spider-Man: No Way Home. This will be the third installment to the MCU’s Spider-Man movies following Homecoming and Far From Home.
Since it’s been nearly 2 years of not seeing Tom Holland’s Peter Parker causing chaos right before our eyes, here are some things to remember from Spider-Man: Far From Home as we prepare for the new film.
far from home Recount
We left off with Peter Parker and his friends going away on a school trip to Europe. Still grieving the loss of his mentor, Tony Stark, Parker was facing tons of public questioning on whether Spider-Man would be taking over the responsibilities that Iron Man left behind.
Along the way Parker teams up with Nick Fury and Quentin Beck aka Mysterio, who we have now discovered to be the true villain of the film, to take down these elemental creatures causing chaos throughout the film.
In a turn of events, Parker puts his trust in Beck to take over the AI E.D.I.T.H, which was Tony Stark’s final gift to Parker. Parker discovers that Beck is a master manipulator who was using drones to cause an illusion of danger. This was all a part of his plan to finally have attention on him and become this “Next Iron-Man” persona. Parker was able to defeat Beck and find his way back home to Queens.
Though this entire film was filled with chaos, there was still room for some humor and young love. We finally got to see Peter and MJ get together!! While the ending was off to a good closing, we are taken back from a broadcast of Beck’s pre-death video confession alleging Spider-Man as the one responsible for the elemental attacks. He also reveals to the world that Spider-Man’s true identity is high school student Peter Parker.
No way home !!
The ending events from Far From Home lead us to the No Way Home trailer to see a glimpse at Parker’s life after his big secret is out to the world.
After watching the trailer it’s clear as day that Peter Parker is struggling in life with the entire world knowing his identity. He’s under constant watch from the government, his entire school, and the general public as well.
That is why it is not surprising that he turns to Dr. Strange for help to reverse the world knowing of his identity. Strange was not prepared for Peter to distract him during the spell. This resulted in him accidentally unlocking the multi-verse. With the multi-verse unlocked we see trouble all around including the return of a classic Spider-Man villain, Doctor Octopus.
This trailer has left millions of people with thoughts, questions, and theories.
Some have wondered since Peter messed up the spell does that mean that he and MJ are still together. Did the spell work in the first place? Because Peter’s going to need his friends to guide him through the mess he created.
Is Doctor Ock the only villain we can expect to see? Also, many have been wondering since the multi-verse is unlocked and we have old villains popping up…can we expect to see a cameo from Andrew Garfield’s and Toby Maguire’s Peter Parkers as well? Who knows?1?!?
I’m sure we are all looking forward to seeing the outcome of this movie when it premieres on December 17.
