10 of the Best Looks from the Golden Globes (at Home) Red Carpet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kent State chapter.

There may not have been an irl red carpet at the Golden Globes this year, but that did not stop your favorite celebs from pulling out all the stops! There as just as many stunning looks to disect from all your favorite celebs and designers. Without further ado, here are my top ten looks from the 2021 Golden Globes.

Nicola Coughlan

Madame Whistledown herself showed up in what I can only describe as Pinterest-meets-high fashion in the best way. She stuns in a tulle Molly Goddard dress in a soft yellow color that is the antithesis of the hiddeous yellow tones she was forced to wear on Bridgerton. The cardigan by Ply Knits is so cute paired with this dress and instantly makes the look feel young and fresh.

Kiersey Clemons

Actress Kiersey Clemons is the epitome of cool in this Prabal Gurung dress. The hair, the styling, the black velvet, I am obsessed. This cutout look is right on trend for the upcoming fall/winter seasons.

Eiza González

This paired-down Versace dress was the perfect combination of chic yet sophisticated for the I Care A Lot actress. The contrast stitching around the neck and bust as well as the high slit take this look from simple and boring to cool and sexy.

Rosamund Pike

Another stunner by Molly Goddard, Rosamund Pike is wearing a funky, edgier cousin of Nicola Coughlan’s romantic yellow dress and I am not mad about it. The styling elevated the look to make it quirky, edgy and very Rosamund.

Andra Day

Musician Andra Day showed up to the Globes in a Chanel Couture dress. The super interesting bodice somehow flowed perfectly into a tulle skirt. By far, this was one of the most interesting and unique looks and I was here for it.

Jo Ellen Pellman

The Prom star wore a color-blocked gown by Jonathan Cohen for the “red carpet.” My favorite part of this dress are not the bright colors, but the tied-together affect that creates super cool 3D appliquĂ©s and peaks of skin, giving this classic silhouette the perfect twist to bring it into the 21st century.

Anya Taylor-Joy

Definitely a fan favorite on social media, this gorgeous green gown makes The Queen’s Gambit star look like downright royalty. Although I will say that I think this look is a little over-hyped at this point, it is a stunner from Dior and definitely a new classic that will never go out of style.

Carey Mulligan

I’m not usually a huge fan of basic, classic styles, but something about this dress on Carey Mulligan really caught my eye. She looks downright angelic in this Prada dress. The entire look is amazing from the makeup and hair to diamond ear cuff.

Nicole Kidman

Kidman wore a black Louis Vuitton dress with a gold chain detail. I usually detest chainlink motifs, but something about this dress makes me not hate it. I think that the look overall is super chic and really flatters her hair and skin tone.

Jane Fonda

I may be biased because Jane Fonda is an American Treasure is you ask me, but she looked radiant in this Richard Tyler suit which she already owned, because as an avid climate activist, she has committed to not purchase new clothes. Now do you agree with me about the American Treasure thing?

I hope you enjoyed these glamorous looks as much as I did!
