With Easter right around the corner I thought I’d share with you some outfit inspiration for the occasion based on a few movies and TV shows I’ve watched. I know each year I struggle with what to wear, whether that be a day with my family or going to my boyfriend’s house. So, I pulled together some characters that matched the aesthetic I think of when it comes to Easter, and hopefully it will inspire you too.
- Lara Jean Song Covey from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before
-
First up we have Lara Jean from the To All The Boys series on Netflix. Lara Jean has the meet the parents look, which is great if this will be the first Easter your boyfriend introduces you to his family. Lara Jean always puts together outfits that are sweet and simple, but feature unique pieces like a pair of shoes or hair accessory. A staple in Lara Jeans wardrobe is color! When I think of Easter, I think it’s the best time to bring out florals or pastel, which Lara Jean does throughout the films. The outfit in this photo of Lara Jean is dressy, but casual due to the white sneakers she pairs with it. This is a great choice for meeting the parents because it’s dressed up enough, but also shows you are true to yourself and value comfort by pairing it with sneakers. You can even add a jean jacket to this look if you live in a colder area.

- Emily Cooper from Emily in Paris
-
If you want to dress up but are not a huge fan of dresses, this look from Emily in Paris is perfect for you! For this look Emily is wearing a pair of wide legged jeans but dresses them up with heels and a blouse. Again, light colors are always a go to for Easter. To recreate this look try to find a white blouse with some ruffles or a bow in the front! To make this look more spring, you can add a cropped blazer that is a pastel pink or blue to match better.

- Bridgerton Inspired
-
The show that dominated Netflix and increased sales in corsets everywhere can be an inspiration for your Easter look this year; however, we can make it a bit more modest for hunting Easter eggs with the family. A trend I have been noticing is puff sleeve dresses (like the one above) and shirts with straight necklines. This style was worn throughout the show by Daphne Bridgerton. I think this trend is adorable and will be an interesting addition to your wardrobe. The sleeves are light and airy and give off an ethereal vibe which I love. I have been seeing a bunch of different lengths from the dresses as well, you can get a shirt ruffle cut like the dress picture here or you can get it in maxi dress length. The dresses and shirts come in a variety of colors and patterns, you can get a plain pastel color or a floral print.

- Hanna Marin from Pretty Little Liars
-
I hope I’m not the only one OBSESSED with the fashion on Pretty Little Liars and I hope I’m not the only one who LOVES wide legged dress pants like the pair Hanna is wearing above. Sometimes when I have an event to go to and I don’t feel like wearing a dress, my go to is a pair of wide legged pants. As always florals are in for the spring, so I thought this look would be fitting for Easter. Hanna wore this look with a white collared shirt and heels. If you are not a fan of heels opt for a box heel which is a thicker heel, but still allows you to get height and not trip on the ends of your pant legs.

Tessa Young from After
Tessa Young’s style screams girly and innocent, which bodes well for the Easter aesthetic. This white dress in particular is one that I would wear to an Easter brunch! It has cute crochet detailing in the design which makes the dress stand out from other plain white dresses. It also would be another great option for church or meeting your boyfriend’s parents!
