Making monthly playlists on spotify is one of my favorite things to do. But, it can be hard sometimes when you can’t really find some good tunes to add. So I decided to share some of the songs that I think you should add to your November playlist this year!

The latest single by the band LAUNDRY DAY titled “Moved On” is a song that I can not stop listening to. The track seems to borrow elements from classic R&B which produces an incredibly groovy and smooth sound. It is very chill and an easy listen.

Omar Apollo has been a consistent favorite artist of mine ever since the release of his 2018 single titled “erase”. I feel like you can tell when an artist loves what they do and takes pride in their work and I feel this is very true of Apollo. His latest album “Ivory” was one of my favorite releases this year. This track specifically feels so personal to me. The lyrics paint a picture and Apollo’s voice is filled with so much emotion, especially during the chorus. I highly recommend watching his performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk, he is even better live.

Of course I had to add a track from “Midnights (3am edition).” I picked the song “Glitch” in particular because it really seems to stand out for me. We have never heard this type of sound from Swift before, and I find it to be so addicting. I love when artists try new things and are experimental with their sound.

I am officially in my “The 1975” obsession era again, especially since they put out their latest album titled “Being Funny in a Foreign Language.” This band consistently puts out bangers, and I am never let down by any project they have released. The eighth track titled “Wintering” is one of my personal favorites. In my opinion, it’s a Christmas song (which makes it even better). The chorus feels so nostalgic and sweet.

FINALLY! If you are a fan of SZA, you know how long we have been waiting for her to release “Shirt.” A snippet of the chorus was viral on TikTok about two years ago…so yeah, she took a while to officially release this track. But regardless, this song is so fun and catchy; I am so glad I can finally add it to a playlist.

Joe Keery is not just an actor, he is also a talented musician, and he goes by the stage name of Djo. He released his sophomore album this year titled “DECIDE.” I fell in love with it on the first listen. It is obvious that he takes inspiration from 80s synth pop and that’s why I enjoy it so much. Track six on this record titled “End of Beginning” is one of my personal favorites.

Frou Frou is a band consisting of musician Imogen Heap and producer Guy Sigsworth. They released only one album in 2002. They are known for their breathy vocals and electronic pop sound. This track is one I keep coming back to, it feels so dreamy and timeless. I suggest you give this song a listen, especially if you like Imogen Heap’s’ solo music.
