I’m a huge Friends fan and a 90s style addict, so when I saw that Revolution was coming out with a ‘Friends’ line, I immediately drove to my local Ulta.  The line consists of one large eyeshadow palette, three small eyeshadow palettes inspired by the three female leads and lipstick for Monica, Pheobe and Rachel.  My Ulta was out of the Rachel lipstick and the large palette, so I purchased the three individual palettes, the Phoebe and Monica lipstick and a Milani lipstick that seemed to be the best dupe for the Rachel lipstick.

Phoebe

For Phoebe, I wanted to do a more natural look since that’s more of who she is on the show.  I really liked the colors in the eyeshadow palette, but the berry lipstick seemed like an odd choice to me, especially paired with the orange tones in the palette.

Use the Friends x Revolution lipstick in Phoebe and the Friends x Revolution Phoebe Eyeshadow Palette in the shades Buffay, Ice, Bike, Ditsy and Smelly Cat. Shop this look here.

Rachel

This look was definitely my favorite look to do! These eyeshadow colors seemed the most authentically 90s to me, and the dusty rose lip color went with it so well. It felt like Ross and Marcel were going to walk in the door any minute!

Use Milani Color Statement Lipstick in the color Rose Femme and the Friends x Revolution Rachel Eyeshadow Palette in the shades Dinosaur, Barneys, Crush, 90s and On a Break. Shop this look here.

Monica

Monica is usually more sultry and smokey in her makeup than the other friends. The palette was nice and I’ll definitely use it again, I just wish it had some navy tones because that was her staple on the show. The lipstick was very light and I feel like Revolution missed a great 90s vampy lipstick moment.

Use the Friends x Revolution lipstick in Monica and the Friends x Revolution Monica Eyeshadow Palette in the shades Clean, Chicken, Frizzy, Bing and Geller Cup. Shop this look here.

I wasn’t sure about how much I would like the products because, although I love the price of Revolution makeup, the quality is often questionable.  Generally speaking, I think that the line was inspired more by the characters themselves than the makeup they wore on the show, since they all tended to stay fairly neutral and these eyeshadow palettes include some very bright and sparkly colors.  The eyeshadow colors were fairly pigmented and good quality, but the lipsticks were pretty bizarre shades and very sheer coverage. I highly recommend the eyeshadow for the great price, but I’ll be putting the lipsticks on a break!
