On Friday, February 12th College Town Kent hosted For the Love of Fashion at the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center. Proceeds from the event benefitted the Alpha Xi Delta’s philanthropy, Autism Speaks. The doors opened at 6pm and the evening began with food tastings from various restaurants in Kent. The first 100 guests to check in received a swag bag with items and coupons from the participating sponsors.Â
Entrance tickets doubled as raffle tickets for a gift card to Bricco!Â
The show began at 7pm with an informational video about the cause, and went right into looks from the sponsors. Universitees was first to hit the runway, with looks from both male and female students as models. They clearly had a blast going down the runway, interacting with the crowd and even taking selfies.
The next look was presented by Gracylane. Models sported many colorful accessories and pajamas perfect for women of all ages.
One Love Yoga spiced up the show when they showcased both clothing and yoga!
The artists from Rush By Dino Palmieri did all of the hair and makeup for the show. The salon showcased additional hair and cosmetic trends with their own models. One young girl won the audience over when she danced her way down the catwalk.
Carnaby Street Style completed the show with the hottest trends for Spring 2016.
After the show was over guests were invited to take pictures in front on the step-and-repeat and shop the looks from the show.
