How to Finish Off the Semester Strong

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kent State chapter.

With only a few weeks left in the semester, some of us may be scrambling to pull up grades. Although there are not a lot of opportunities left, here are some tips on how you can finish off the semester right:

1.     Plan everything out. If you haven’t been doing this already, make sure you’re aware of all upcoming assignments and tests. Being aware leads to being prepared for anything that comes your way.

2.     Set aside some serious study time. It is crucial to buckle down at the end of semester because it is the last chance to potentially change your grade for the better. Dedicating a few hours to study in the last final weeks will make or break you.

3.     Try to avoid distractions. If there’s an app you’re obsessed with, or Netflix is your life, temporarily remove them so you can focus. Procrastination should be avoided at all costs.

4.     If you’re really struggling try talking to your professor. They may actually help you out.

5.     Finally, get some sleep! So many college students pull all-nighters, which aren’t all that effective. A good amount of rest will help you focus and lower your stress during this very stressful time.
