With the conclusion of Lana Del Rey’s 10-date U.S. tour this fall, it is time to dive in and explore the fashion, setlist, stage setup and much more of this short but amazing tour. I had the opportunity to go to her second to last show in Pittsburgh and I will say it was completely worth the almost four hours of traffic I was stuck in after the show.

Lana’s ninth studio album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” was released earlier this year, and prior to her U.S. tour, Del Rey was busy performing in festivals and cities overseas including Paris, Dublin and London. The fall tour kicked off on September 14th in Franklin, Tennessee and concluded on October 5th in Charleston, West Virginia. The “Video Games” singer also made an appearance at the music festival “All Things Go” in Maryland on October 1st.

List Of Tour Dates:

  • September 14th- Franklin,Tennessee
  • September 17th- Austin, Texas
  • September 19th- Dallas, Texas
  • September 21st- Huntsville, Alabama
  • September 23rd- West Palm Beach, Florida
  • September 25th- Tampa, Florida
  • September 27th- Brandon, Mississippi
  • September 29th- Charlotte, North Carolina
  • October 3rd- Pittsburgh, Pennyslvania
  • October 5th- Charleston, West Virginia

The atmosphere at Lana’s concert was surreal, the venue was filled with concert goers wearing heart-shaped sunglasses, flower crowns, white dresses and more. You could feel the pure excitement from every fan there, especially when Lana opened her set with “Norman Fucking Rockwell”, a fan favorite. Joining Lana on stage was her three backup singers and nine backup dancers.

During her song “Ride”, some of her backup dancers were on swings that covered multiple parts of the stage and were a big hit with the crowd. Lana also used one of these swings during her hit song ” Video Games”, which I personally believe was one of the best parts of the concert. Del Rey’s setlist was around 90 minutes long, and for the Pittsburgh show, she played a total of 18 songs.

Lana’s Setlist:

1.”Norman Fucking Rockwell”

2. “Arcadia”

3. “A&W”

4. “Young and Beautiful”

5. “Bartender”

6. “Chemtrails Over the Country Club”

7. “The Grants”

8. “Cherry”

9. “Pretty When You Cry”

10. “Ride”

11. “Stand by Your Man” ( Tammy Wynette cover)

12. “Blue Jeans”

13. “Ultraviolence”

14. “Born to Die”

15. “Diet Mountain Dew”

16. “Summertime Sadness”

17. “Video Games”

18.” Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd”

Surprise Song Appearances:

  • “Florida Kilos” – was only performed in Tampa
  • “Margaret” and “Venice Bitch” – only performed at “All Things Go” with Jack Antonoff
  • “Hope is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me to Have” and “Have It” – performed in Austin, Brandon, Charlotte, and at “All Things Go”

One thing Lana Del Rey knows how to do well is perform, and even if she is just sitting behind a curtain backstage, like she did during “Ultraviolence”, her voice is enough to capture the attention of all 23,000 fans in Star Lake Pavilion. Another thing Del Rey does well is merch. Lana’s concert merchandise is superior to most artists, with her most popular piece for this tour being the Dickies Tour Dates Jacket which was being sold for a whopping $200. I arrived late to the concert and was still able to grab a tour t shirt without waiting in line at all.

My Lana Del Rey concert is a night I will never forget, and I can’t wait until she tours in the U.S. again so even more people are able to experience her music in person.
