For all of you makeup lovers out there, it is always fun to learn about new products on the market. We love our Ulta and Sephora runs and we are always down to try a new lip color. Most likely, we all have a wide variety of items from different brands and we may or may not have our ride or dies. Recently I purchased matte lip paint from tarte and my life was changed for the better right then and there. This sounds dramatic, but I LOVED this product. So, I thought if I liked the lipstick so much I would probably like some other tarte products as well. I went ahead and tried out a bunch of different items from Tarte’s selection and here is how it all went!
1. Tarte Creamy Matte Lip Paint
Hands down the best matte liquid lipstick to exist. The formula is a whipped consistency and it is extremely comfortable on the lips. It does not dry out the lips as many liquid lipsticks do and it does not require much touch up at all. It comes in a wide variety of shades and tarte also makes the same formula, but in a gloss.
Bottom line: You can’t go on without this
2. Tartelette 2 in Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette
I actually wanted to try this palette out for a while now, but I hadn’t purchased it because I felt that I already had enough shades that were similar. But, thankfully this article gave me an excuse to buy it. The first thing I noticed about this palette when I took it out of the packaging was that it is so cute and compact. This is the perfect palette to travel with! Also, when I opened it up it smells just like the best chocolaty dessert you’ve ever had. These shadows are blendable, pigmented and there are a few shimmer shades to complete any look.
Bottom Line: 10/10 would recommend
3. Tarte Double Beauty Shape Tape Concealer
This is an item that falls under my category of “Youtube made me buy.” Every makeup youtuber and their moms were RAVING about this concealer, so I ran out and got it immediately. Let me tell you these people were not kidding. This is the most coverage I have ever seen in a concealer. It will cover your dark circles, your redness and any lies you have ever told.
Bottom Line: Stuff’s made of magic
4. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Matte Warm Peach
I bought a tarte blush palette a little while ago and was blown away by the pigmentation and lasting power. The matte warm peach shade was by far my favorite and stayed on my skin all day long. I pretty much use this with every look. However, I did find that a few of the lighter shades like the nude did not really show up on my skin and I had to use more product to get payout.
Bottom Line: Use the brighter toned blushes and you will not be disappointed.
5. Tarte Lights, Cameras, Lashes Mascara
Before I even start to talk about this, I will say I am not someone who believes mascara needs to be high end to be good. I love my Maybelline Lash Discovery mascara more than life itself. However, Ulta’s 21 days of beauty came around and this tarte mascara was on promotion for $10! I picked it up and the first day I used it I was impressed. I would definitely say it is comparable to the “Better Than Sex” by Too Faced. An old man stopped me the first day I put it on and asked me if I was wearing falsies. (Yes, I know it’s funny that an old man asked but that just means my lashes were that noticeable!)
Bottom Line: This is absolutely bomb-ass mascara if you are ok with the price.
6. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Highlighter
I was able to get my hands on a sample of this product from Sephora (if you ask for samples there they do give them to you!) I tried this out and honestly was not impressed. I like to be seen from space when I put on a highlight. Go hard or go home right? So, usually I like my Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop by Becca Cosmetics and when I use them I blind everyone walking by. This tarte highlight gives a pretty glow, but it is not as intense as I was hoping for it to be.
Bottom Line: If you want everyone to need sunglasses when they see you, I would skip this.
7. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Precision Longwear Liquid Eyeliner
Do you have trouble creating a wing? BUY THIS. The tip is so precise (as the name says) and lets you easy create sharp lines. The color is black as black can be and stays on the lid until you remove it. The best thing about this product is that it does not bleed onto the upper lid or into the inner corners. It does just what you want I to and looks fab!
Bottom Line: YAS
As you can probably tell I have fallen in love with Tarte. I don’t think that I have ever liked so many products from a single brand before. The quality is good and I feel like a million bucks when I use these. So leave your Netflix, pillows and blankets and go to your closest Ulta or Sephora and treat yo self to some tarte products.Â
