5 Spring Dresses for Every Budget

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kenyon chapter.

Spring is finally upon us and that means it’s time to pull out the sandals, shorts and, of course, dresses! Whether you’re looking for solid colors or bold prints, something sweet or sassy, something to wear to class or out, we’ve found dresses for every budget that are must haves for this season.

1. Madewell’s Parkline dress is the quintessential collegiette dress. The neutral color blocks and high neckline make it easy to throw on as you’re hurrying out the door because you don’t need to worry about accessorizing. And as an added bonus, there are pockets, so this is bound to become one of your new favorite pieces of clothing! ($138)

2. Nothing says springtime quite as well as pastels or flowers do, and Zara brings theses two together with this Floral Print dress. Such a perfect combination of classy and cute is hard to find and these colors are flattering on everyone. ($79.90)

3. Finding the perfect maxi dress can be a tricky endeavor, but this Felicity & Coco printed maxi dress from Nordstrom is something that everyone can fall in love with. Even with a bold geometric pattern, the shape is flattering. Not only is it the perfect spring dress when paired with a jean jacket, but it’ll carry over well into the hot summer days too. ($78)

4. Little black dresses come in styles and cuts for every occasion, and the Like it Like Dot dress from Tobi is perfect for spring. It’s simple enough to wear to class with a few accessories, but dressy enough to also wear when you go out at night. ($35)

For going-out dresses, Forever 21 is the place to look. The Dainty Polka Dot mixes polka dots with a little bit of lace for a fun look that won’t break the bank. ($13.80)

Happy shopping and happy (almost) spring from HCK!

She spent this past summer interning as a writer with both The Daily Meal, a digital media group  dedicated to "all things food and drink" and The Borgen Project, a non-profit organization that partners with U.S. policymakers to alleviate global poverty. Before entering the "real world" of jobs, however, Ally spent many summers as a counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Vermont, aka the most wonderful place on earth. A good book, a jar of peanut butter, a well-crafted Spotify playlist, and a lazy dog could get her through even the worst of days.
