Today, and every day, Her Campus Kenyon stands in support of those who suffer from eating disorders.
In honor of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we wore purple to help raise awareness of this issue and to publicly that we support survivors.
So many people our age—of all different genders and body types—are lead to believe that the impractical “ideal” images that the media perpetuates are “normal.” Remember: there is no normal! Everyone is unique, which makes them beautiful in their own way.

If you suffer from an eating disorder, there are some great resources on campus to help you. You can call the Peer Counselors (740-398-3806), the Health Center (740-427-5525), or the Counseling Center (740-427-5643). You can also reach out to close friends, professors, and family for help! The people around you love you and want to see you be happy and healthy.
