1. The two most winning-est teams in College Basketball are about to go head to head.Â
2. They are a good team as Coach Bill Self said himself, “There’s not a talented team in the last several years like Kentucky is going to have on paper,” Self told USA Today. “You have nine McDonald’s All-Americans. They have more McDonald’s All-Americans than the Lakers.” But Kansas is a good team too.
3. Because the Champions Classic is the closest environment to a NCAA Sweet 16 or Final Four game in November. The lights are brighter, the stage is bigger, the competition is stiffer, and the crowd is loud.
4. It is slated to Kansas’ speed vs. Kentucky size. As the rankings stand now Kansas is ranked five while Kentucky is ranked one, talk about a good game.Â
5. The Kansas team is excited. Sophomore Wayne Selden Jr. told media, “We are really excited, we’re real juiced, we’re real pumped up. The young guys are real excited, the older guys are real excited, you know you got the nerves but, the nerves, they’re gonna go away as soon as the game starts.” If you didn’t gather it from Wayne himself they are REAL EXCITED.Â
