1. Fall drinks
Of course, I am going to start off with this staple. I am a huge advocate for fall-flavored drinks, and one drink in particular is the pinnacle of autumn: a hot (yes, I said hot) dirty chai tea with one pump of pumpkin. Pumpkin chai teas are warm and cozy; however, coming from a caffeine addict, they do not result in the jittery feeling that I expect to ensue after my Starbucks drinks. As a result, the added shot of espresso makes the perfect addition to the pumpkin chai. Especially if you have an early morning class when the autumn air is extra chilly, this cozy, festive and energetic drink makes for the perfect fall beverage.Â
2. Daniel Caesar
If you’re the type of person who likes listening to music on the way to class, I highly recommend adding some Daniel Caesar to your playlist. While I listen to this artist on repeat all year round, his R&B soul music has a specific sound that really generates fall vibes.Â
3. Sweaters/cozy outfits
I live for a fall wardrobe. The summer is too hot to look cute, and the winter is too cold; fall is the perfect time to actually show off your style. Sweaters and flannels are my go-to fall outfits, but honestly any long sleeves that you can pull over your hands are, in my opinion, perfect for feeling cute and cozy. Also, now is the perfect time to go for the cute sweater/sweatshirt over a tennis skirt look; I know my roommate will be rocking this outfit. Any flare pants, especially a cozy brown pair, will have you looking and feeling extra “fallish.”
4. Pumpkin Ice Cream
If you have not had pumpkin ice cream before, you are missing out big time. Coming from the pumpkin capital of the world—my hometown—pumpkin ice cream is a fall must-have. I specifically recommend the pumpkin pie blizzard from Dairy Queen. I’ve been waiting for Sylas and Maddy’s to introduce a pumpkin flavor.
5. Fall Picnics
With college campuses looking extra beautiful in the autumn, picnics are a great way to get into the fall spirit. Specifically in areas where water is located or a location with lots of trees, a fun picnic with lots of fall-orientated foods is a perfect event to add to your fall bucket list. It doesn’t have to be elaborate either; all you need is food, a blanket and a friend or two.
