Something I have learned from cardio is 1) I hate it but 2) it feels pretty dang good when it’s over– especially running.  And that’s why I keep doing it. Exercising makes me feel better and reminds me I’m alive with every deep breath and pant that comes with it!Â
But… that doesn’t go to say that when it’s occuring I’m not thinking of ways to temporarily injur myself just to make it all stop.
SO… here’s 8 things you can relate to feeling or thinking to yourself during a run:
Â
1. Me: “I’ve been at this for awhile, but I’m feeling alright for being at like at least .83 miles!”
Treadmill: *.31 miles*
Me: “Excuse me, what?”
Â
2. *On a trail*
Me: *passes dog*
Me: “Awwww hi!”
Dog:Â
Me: “Oh my god you’re perfect.”
Â
3. *On a treadmill*
Me: “I wonder what would happen if I just fell right now.”
Â
4. *On sidewalk*
Car on road: *about to drive past me*
Me, out of breath, panting, tired: “I could end it all right here.”
Â
5. “To think there are people out there running 26.2 miles….How do people even do marathons? Are they okay???”
Â
6. Me: *puts in headphones, starts treadmill*
Me: *forgets to turn music on, runs 2 miles listening to voice in head*Â
Â
7. Me: “I wonder what would happen if I jacked this thing up to like 9 mph.”
Me: *jacks thing up to like 9 mph*
Me: *reaching for stop button while sprinting full speed, panicking, sweating, panting*
Me: *manages to reach stop button*
Me: “Ok, so.. never again.”
Â
8.  “Why am I doing this..? Forreal.”
