Although nothing can top the summer of 2016 when the world lost its marbles over Drake’s “One Dance” and Ariana Grande’s “Into You”, summer 2019 had some absolute bangers. From the re-emergence of Bon Iver to Brockhampton’s new album, GINGER, my music taste has tremendously broadened its horizons these last couple of months. In addition to these new releases, I also began to listen to the older works of my favorite artists such as Dr. Dog’s album, Fate, and Fleetwood Mac’s live album, The Dance. My music taste ranges from ragers like Travis Scott and A$AP Rocky to indie bands such as Deerhunter and DeVotchka. The following songs are my personal favorite bops to walk around on campus or to tune out while studying. Happy listening!
