We have all been victims of our own downfall. Sometimes we need a little uplifting and someone to look up too. Being a die hard Disney fan has definitely made it easier to identify some of my idols. Here are some Disney channel characters that were absolutely iconic and characters I aspire to be:
Â
London Tipton from “Zach and Cody”
Do I even have to explain myself with this one? She is rich, she is a fashionista, she is naive and has a great perception of the world, and she still manages to be a great friend to Ashley Tisdale’s character Maddie even despite their class difference.Â
Â
Stella Yamada from “Lemonade Mouth”
If “bad-ass” was a person, it would be Hayley Kiyoko as Stella in “Lemonade Mouth”. She is giving me fire, energy, and freedom of speech. I look up to Stella because sometimes it can be hard to stand up for your beliefs but Stella’s ability to do that is a breath of fresh air. I also love her style and ability to express herself through her appearance.
Mr Mosby from “Suite Life of Zach and Cody”
Ah yes. Our favorite hotel manager! Mr. Mosby played by Phill Lewis is the most professional, put-together man I have ever come across on Disney Channel. Although he can be a bit pessimistic at times, I don’t blame him considering he has to deal with all the crazy hotel residents. I definitely look up to Mr. Mosby when I am feeling unmotivated and lazy, and I will continue to do that. I’m thinking about a Mr. Mosby poster for my wall. It might be inspirational!
Grandma Olson from “Starstruck”:
I feel like I might need to explain this one a little bit so here it goes. Starstruck did not have the best characters but one character I really liked was Grandma Olson played by Alice Hirson. Not only was she the only unproblematic one but she was also the only nice one. She lent her pretty pink car named “Petunia” to her ungrateful grand daughters. Plus, she had the most rocking haircut ever and can I just add, she was in an interracial marriage and I stan that representation.Â
Â
Ryan Evans from “High School Musical”
I feel like Ryan Evans was definitely underrated in High School Musical. He had so many talents and he was a man of people. Sharpay always got the lead role, but let’s be honest, Ryan deserved it! If nothing else, the fedoras he wore should have bought him his popularity among the fans. I look up to Ryan when I feel like I need to be humbled and also feel fantastic.Â
Gabe Duncan from “Good Luck Charlie”:
Was I the only child that had a pranking phase where they pulled terrible pranks that backfired on their family members? Just me? Cool. Gabe Duncan was the mischievous child that I aspired to be! I love the confidence his personal exuberant and his cleverness.

When you are feeling down on yourself or feeling like you aren’t living up to your full potential, watch some Disney Channel and learn a little bit from the characters you see. I promise you’ll see some inspiration!

No…this is not sponsored by the late ghost of Walt Disney. I just love Disney Channel. xoxo
