Going back to school can be good and bad. I get to see my friends, work to make a little money and hang with the Her Campus KU girls. Unfortunately, it also means less Netflix marathons, class and an enormous amount of homework. This semester, I wanted to add more good ‑ and more sparkles – to my life. Seriously, who doesn’t like sparkles? That’s when I came up with the idea to decorate some wine glasses.
It didn’t take very long to do. Well, at least I didn’t think so. I had a bit of help from two friends: Callie and a bottle of wine.
First we went to the dollar store. Yes, being on a college girl budget, I wanted something cute for less.
Supplies:
- Whatever glasses you would like to decorate
- brushes or sponges
- mod podge
- paper plates
- GLITTER
Â
Step 1: Pour out some mod podge onto a paper plate. Then dip a brush/sponge into the mod podge and apply to the area you want to add glitter to.
Step 2: Right after you are done applying to the glass (don’t let the mod podge to dry), sprinkle the glitter on top of the mod podge.
Step 3: Let the mod podge dry. Â
Step 4 (Optional): Shake off excess glitter. I prefer to have a flat, even layer. Some people don’t.
Step 5: Next, coat your glitter with a thin layer of mod podge. If you have any spots without glitter, this is the time to add them.
Step 6: Set the glass upside down to let the glitter dry.Â
Â
Step 7: Once the glitter is dry, you are done. Drink up!
