Did your healthy habits whittle away with your motivation over the course of the past nine months?  Like, did you begin the school year with a glowing tan, healthy nail beds, a fresh haircut and a new wardrobe – but now you eat Cheetos for dinner, have been wearing the same oversized t-shirt for a week and desperately need to be Queer-Eyed?  It’s okay, sis. Me too. The good thing is: we can bounce back! There is no better rebound from finals week than a summer glo-up. Here’s what you need to do:
Â
Get a j-o-b.  You’re probably broke from wasting your money on food, clothes and alc*h*l.  Figure out a way to collect some coins this summer.
Establish a summer skincare routine (and actually follow it)! The key? SPF and hydration. Maybe you can drop some of the coins you collected in step 1 on Glossier products.  (Totally not just saying that because it’s what I’m planning on doing.)
Donate your old clothes to Goodwill before unpacking your college clothes.  If something sat in your childhood closet for an entire year without being touched, you absolutely do not need it anymore.  Take that sh*t to a thrift store – and NOT Plato’s Closet because that store is the biggest scam, but I’ll talk about that some other time.
Get a car wash and deep clean the inside of your car.  (Unless you’re a clean freak and your car doesn’t smell like a combination of McDonald’s and dirt.)  Seriously though, you will feel like a new woman after getting all of the trash out of your backseat.
Nourish your body.  Fruits, veggies, plenty of water – you know the drill.  It’s likely that you deprived your body of certain nutrients while you were on your Ramen Noodles diet in February.
Hit the gym. Â Exercising is good for the body and brain, so find a way to stay active and implement it into your weekly routine.Â
Get a haircut and a mani pedi, damn it.  If you do this all in the same day, you will feel so put together you won’t even recognize yourself.Â
The school year may have caused some wear and tear, but you’ll bounce back in no time, girl.  Cheers to summer glo-ups!
