5. The Crossovers
One of my favorite things about the CW’s Flash is the crossovers. Sometimes it might just be a minor character jumping in to help solve a case. Other times it’s the Green Arrow and his team trying to stop a super villain alongside Team Flash. Sometimes it’s even Supergirl joining the Flash for a musical episode. The CW goes all out for their major crossover moments. It’s a week long event that brings the casts of Supergirl, Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow together for a jam packed action and super hero antics.
4. Alternate Universes
In the second season of the show, they introduce the concept of multiple universes. For instance, there is a world were Barry Allen isn’t the Flash and Oliver Queen isn’t the Green Arrow. It’s always interesting to see the show touch in these other worlds, especially when we get to see different versions of our favorite characters.
3. Cisco Ramon
Speaking of fan favorite characters, if Cisco Ramon can’t convince you to watch the Flash then I don’t know what will. Cisco is a genius scientist and inventor for S.T.A.R Labs and a vital member of Team Flash. There are quite a few reasons to love Mr. Ramon. For one, he takes the crown for naming metahumans (the term coined for the super power enhanced humans) and villains. He is also hilarious. His witty jokes and fandom references are always entertaining. It doesn’t take long for this adorable and intelligent character to steal your heart.
2. The Friendships
The friendship between Barry Allen, Cisco Ramon, and Caitlin Snow is absolutely one of the most adorable things about this show. While Cisco and Caitlin already have a pre-existing friendship before the show starts, they instantly connect with Barry as they discover the true extent of his speedster powers. Together in S.T.A.R. Labs they work together to save the city (and the universes) from all kinds of evil doers. And, no matter what, they always have each other’s back. Even through awkward dates, personality changes, and unfortunate moments of time travel, this main core of friends stands together.
1. The Superpowers
When talking about The Flash, we cannot forget the powers that make these superheroes and villains so memorable. It’s always interesting to how Barry’s speed develops and changes over the time, not to mention the other magnificent things he can do besides run. Then of course we have metahumans with the powers to elongate or open breeches (these are like doorways) between the universes. There are villains that can teleport and heroes that can control fire or ice. Also, watching the struggle the S.T.A.R. Labs crew goes through to figure out how to combat these powers is quite entertaining.
