As days go by life may begins to feel like this a little more often…

Trying to juggle everything on our plate; classes, a job, bills, social standing, family, friends, future plans, wine… It’s all toppling over and adding stress to our already stressful lives. Dropping this plate from time to time seems to make us feel like we may never have our lives together.. Soon we begin to question its completion in the first place. However, the gag is many of us in our only in our 20’s and we are doing amazing things; we have a crowd cheering for our every step… but we feel as though we just aren’t doing enough. Instead, we are in a constant panic because we haven’t met this ideal we created for ourselves.

I’ve heard these are the years where you find yourself, the only way for that to work is if we continue to live our lives. That means to continue to make mistakes and learn from each and every one of them. It also means to stop living in comparison to others. Your friends who are engaged, employed or starting a family are living for them and not you. These things take time, Beyonce was most definitely not built in a day. I have to tell myself that almost every day, I’m sure she was told no more than once, there were days she felt defeated. Or even times when she began to compare her life to what she believed it should be. We need to celebrate our lives for what it is, all the amazing things we have accomplished so far. We will figure out what our purpose is when the time comes it will be one of the most important days of our lives.

“The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why”. – Mark Twain
