At the Kutztown HerCampus chapter, we were blessed with samples of Garnier products for both hair care and facial care. This past week, I have been putting these products to the test.Â
Now, a little background on me: I am a complete snob when it comes to hair care products. Due to the fact that I have family members that are cosmologists, I get salon products very cheaply. When it came to the hair masks, I was not pleased. The samples we received contain strengthening with banana extract, smoothing with avocado extract, and damage repair with papaya extract. Unfortunately, they felt either waxy or too thin. My hair is very thick and long so I had to use two samples for enough and still I felt like I could have used more. Along with the size, I did not like the results/feeling of my hair after the use of the masks. I have tried the whole blends line of hair treatments and I love a few types. They were the Honey Treasures, Moroccan Argan and Camellia Oil, and Monoi Oil and Orange Blossom, all used for dry damaged hair. I wish we would have received samples of whole blends and then I would have been set for awhile!
On the other hand, we also received face care products, including Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 original, Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 waterproof, and soothing facial mist with rose water. I do like the Micellar Waters as the waterproof one was able to defeat my stubborn waterproof mascara. But what I am thrilling about is the rose water. This stuff is AMAZING. I have red, sensitive skin and I recommend rose water to anyone who has the same kind of skin. The rose water calmed my skin without causing further irritation. It was also able to make me feel refreshed and clean. I was thoroughly happy with this product.

Overall, please take my opinion of hair products with a grain of salt because, as I have stated, I am a bit of a snob. Every person has different hair and different needs. What may not work for me may work amazingly for another. The facial care was quite decent and I recommend giving it a try, especially the rose water!
