To begin, I would like to say thank you to Kutztown University for allowing me to find myself and grow in every direction. When I first came to Kutztown, I was lost. I had no idea what path of life I wanted for myself. As a freshman living away from home, I became distant from my hometown friends. But Kutztown had many programs and orientation events that helped me find lifelong friends, as well as flourish in my daily life with new people by my side. Not once did I feel like I wasn’t a part of a friend group or activity. I would like to thank KU for allowing me to make friends whom I will continue to grow with and love for many years to come.Â
Kutztown has shown me that I have the ability to set my goals high, and if I feel that I am not ready, to do it anyway. My professors and peers have pushed me to become the best person I think I have ever been in my academic career. I am attentive, creative, and successful within my everyday academic life, and I have Kutztown to thank for it. While I was in high school, I never thought I would be the person to stand out in a crowd, or be a part of certain clubs or groups, but Kutztown has changed my perspective and driven me to do more than I knew I was ever capable of doing.Â
I found my path of life here at this school, and I hope every incoming student gets the same feeling. Not only does Kutztown University welcome you with open arms, but they mold you into the best version of yourself you could ever be. The faculty and staff greet every student with open minds and hearts, and I feel like you can’t find that at every school. Kutztown is more than a school to me—it’s my family. And for that, I am grateful.Â
